Adam Wingard directed this new thriller film and script is written by Simon Barrett. 7 march 2014 picture house has picked up the US distribution rights to the film.  The Guest will be released into theatres on September 17, 2014.

On july 17, 2013 The new Mexico film office announced the start of the production of  The Guest in Mexico.In different location the filming finished like Moriaty, Edgewood, Estancia at the end of August.

 The first trailer of the film was released on June 26, 2014 and that was tremendous.

The Guest is a high rating film where a soldier introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. And after the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.

The main story of this film is, The Peterson family finds some solace when an unexpected visitor knocks on their door and still then they struggling over the loss of their oldest son, caled, to the war in Afghanistan. David, a steely eyed and fascinating solder who was recently discharged, is welcomed into their home when he comes to execute a assure he made to his fallen comrade.

 Siblings Anna and Luke are at first unwilling to accept David’s present, but he soon wins them over by scoring kegs for Anna’s Friends and roughing up some bullies form Luke’s school. Though he appears to be the perfect houseguest, a strange and ominous chain of events causes Anna to question whether David is actually who he claims to be.
